CNN is repeating them tonight, and I think I'm going to try to catch the Democratic debate. I can't see any point in watching the Republican one, really. My blood pressure's fine where it is.

You will love this--on New Year's Eve, talk turned to politics. Someone said, "ANYONE but Hillary!" to resounding agreement.
I asked, why?
Answer, "I don't like some of the things she's done. She wavers back and forth on the issues."
I say, "Well, what has she done? And what issues does she waver on? I'm curious, because I honestly don't know."
Say they, "All those things with the, what was that whole rigaramarol she was involved in. Investing something?"
It went on like that. This is what I HATE! If you have a problem with Hillary Clinton, or ANY candidate, know why. Don't just spout. So many people have a problem with her because she is a woman and it's somehow threatening. I'm not saying she's wonderful, but come on--know the issues! Know what you don't like about her! Don't just say you don't because she's Hillary.
The thing that bothered me most was that a WOMAN, a dear, dear friend wrapped up by saying, "I don't have a problem with a woman in office. I feel we NEED a woman in office. And I know a lot of women are going to vote for her because she IS a woman. But I can't put the WRONG woman in the White House, just because she IS a woman."
To which I replied, "Do you believe any of the candidates will be better?"
She said no.
Said I, "So you will put the wrong MAN in the White House, but not the wrong WOMAN."
And in a backwards sort of way, that is the whole thing in a nutshell. Sigh...

In the future, you should weigh what you write on this new-aged media nerve a lot more than you have in the past. I'm sure those computer geeks you have devoted to you should have warned you that what you write on the 'Net is public. For another thing, I am not "blog stalking" you - you defamed me unmercifully in that horrid AW Water Cooler. I do not mean you any real harm. You will eventually do yourself in, with that pseudo-intellectual "scholarly" articles you are posting on Medievalist sites that are actually, racist attacks against whole groups of people (like Jews, Blacks, Asians, etc). I have no doubt that your pomp and poof will self implode over time. Even your "friends" list is getting smaller and smaller.

In closing, you were a very poor substitute for Jenna Glatzer. For one thing, she was a lot fairer than you are - you are nothing but a very mediocre, frustrated technorati who wants so badly to be literati. For another thing, Ms. Glatzer held her weight in the "expert" area as a publishing guru. The best you've done is publishing some horrible tribute to bad lit ("Atlanta Nights"), which actually shows your true worthless nature as a writer and author. It's funny that you would try to tackle an anti-literary work of this nature. It's really about the only thing you can do right now. You are just constitutionally incapable of producing anything of worth or weight. . . .I apologize to your AW writers for dissing "Coyote Wild." I've looked it over and there's some good stuff on it - some very talented people have been participating in this effort and I laud them. I will not disparage their noble efforts to malign your utter worthlessness to the world of publishing. It takes guts and grit to be a writer and "Coyote Wild" is a good indicator that literature is alive and well on the 'Net. . . .But Mac, you take credit for all their hard work, in your braggadocios, arrogant way. . . .Anyhow, I predict the most you will ever become in the "L" category is a very pathetic character like a "Mac Stone" goofball in some poor pulp fiction train wreck series of detective mystery -- but at least your name will live on and on.
